A Yoga Snack for the Neck

It’s nice to have an hour to attend a Yoga class, but sometimes we just need a “snack.” Asanas (poses) for the neck and shoulders are some of the most requested. This area tends to become tense from “text neck” and carrying the “weight of the world on our shoulders.” One of the easiest releases is to slowly bring the chin into the chest as you exhale and then head back to center as you inhale.  Repeat several times and then take the head side to side keeping the chin level.  Exhale to one side and then inhale back to center.  Alternate sides and repeat.  And then just say “ahh….”  Use throughout the day as needed.
